Good Luck. We are waiting for the results. Thanks !
Best regards.
Exciting, I look forward to the next chapter in the story of Allele to Blue
Great job
I have two Roseicollis with the AquaTurquoise phenotype that always have AquaTurquoise puppies. But, according to the book “Agapornis / Lovebird (Pajaros / Birds) (Spanish Edition) by Dirk Van Den Abeele”, the Aqua and Turquoise mutations are alleles of Locus bl+, making it impossible for them to merge in the same chromosome and within the same Locus.
The question is, are they really Alleles? Or, is it possible for allele mutations to fuse on the same chromosome?
I wish you good luck in the search. And I’m very interested in the topic.
Hello,
or they are allelic or they are epistatic genes, but that is what we are trying to find our in our Agapornis genome study. Of course it is possible for allele mutations to fuse on the same chromosome. It all depends on the distance between both alleles/mutations. Please read this: https://www.ogvzw.org/in-search-of-the-genetic-background-of-sapphire-agapornis-fischeri/
